O’Grady Publishing Company

O’ GRADY PUBLISHING COMPANY

The O’ Grady Publishing Company was established to publish biblically based books that intentionally challenge the reader to seek the saving grace of Jesus Christ, God, the Creator of the universe’s only Son. All of the books will use the Holy Scriptures to allow the power of the Holy Spirit to speak the truth in a world surrounded by falsehood. O’Grady Publishing Company’s mission is to, in some small measure, provide spiritual salt to a heathen world that is growing more rancid day by day.

O’ Grady Publishing Company’s goal is to publish stories of fiction that will embolden the believer to proclaim Christ as “Lord of Lords” and “King of Kings”. Each day this nation’s court system finds a new, inventive method to erode the biblical freedoms of Americans. Our education system has systematically diminished or removed the physical evidence of the importance of God’s Bible upon the hearts and minds of the citizens of this land. O’ Grady’s books will provide their readers an intellectual podium to combat their adversaries, while giving them great entertainment.

Ranny Grady is the founder, and the sole author of this company’s published books. In November of 2007, it will publish its first book: www.lousdirtydozen.com Please visit our web site and see how you can order this great read.

FUTURE BOOKS TO BE PUBLISHED:

THE ROOKIE

It
is a story that deals with the spiritual question, “What’s my purpose?” This book is dedicated to my deceased father, Paul Leo Grady. It has a baseball background, and my father loved this great game. A theophany is an angelic messenger, in a physical form. Mine is a calico colored cat named Scooter—named after the Hall of Fame Yankee shortstop, Phil Rizzuto, who, on a spiritual mission from God rescues an old preacher from suicide. He then takes him on a spiritual journey to help him discover his divine purpose in God’s spiritual economy.

GRANPA'S MAGIC CARPET AND THE LOST TREASURE

This story is about every child’s grandpa. This grandpa takes his grandchildren on his magic carpet to find the lost treasure. It is a fantasy adventure in which seemingly everything and everyplace is magical. Once Grandpa has collected his grandchildren, they sail away on a large sailboat to find the treasure. Fun and excitement await all of the adventurers as they seek this treasure. By the time these adventurers return home, they will have discovered the “Greatest Treasure”. God’s holy word will have been honored, and the reader will be able to easily distinguish the difference between the value of earthly and spiritual treasure (ages 6-10).  It will also be a wonderful “read-to-me” book for parents and grandparents.

THE THEOPHANY

After all mention and physical presence of a creating God, Jesus Christ, God’s only son, and God’s Bible have been removed from this nation’s people’s minds and memories, by using chip implant technology, God sends His messenger, a theophany (an angelic messenger) in the physical presence of a cinnamon colored cat named Cinnamon, to team up with a doctor (Luke) to find a way to restore the memories of the people. It is a tale of evil, lust, politics, great spiritual power, a journey into Hell itself, a battle with Satan’s own theophany, and of the restoration of God’s righteousness because the people once again are given the right to exercise their free will to choose to accept the gift of salvation that only Jesus Christ offers to all of mankind.

GRANDPA’S MAGIC CARPET AND THE KING’S FITNESS CAMP

Grandpa once again takes his grandchildren on his magic carpet to visit another fantasy land. This adventure takes them deep into the jungle. The camp is a place where Jesus is King. The grandchildren are joined, in the camp, by different types of animal children, who have been sent to the camp by their parents to help them become better physically fit. While physical fitness is very important, the children learn that spiritual fitness is more important. When the physical and spiritual tests are passed, all of the children are given a “warrior’s” reward. This story is designed to delve into the more consistent, sticky problems all kids have growing up into adults: how to handle one’s ego, how to live with being different because of how one looks, the peer pressure of looking a certain way, feelings of inadequacies, the value of teamwork, and why spiritual fitness is the goal for all children. The story is about 70 pages long, and it is suitable for ages 8-14.

NESSE’S REDEMPTION

It is set in two places: Boston, during the height of the abolition and anti-abolition struggle while the Civil War was raging, and in the West, starting at St. Joseph, Mo., just after the collapse of the Pony Express.

Nesse is a slave owner’s son and, because he doesn’t believe in slavery, he comes north to get his education. He becomes a noted doctor of medicine. Tragic events take him away from Boston, and he ends up out West. While he tries to make sense of his life, he uses his talents as a rider and “toughie” to start a new life. He had once been a committed believer in God, and he was an out-spoken witness for Him. Since the tragic events of his life in Boston, he considers God his adversary.

The story is all about how a man finds a way to be reconciled back to God, while he is being held as a captive slave by a cut-throat band of heathens who mock God and take delight in inflicting cruelty upon their captives.

Nesse’s redemption is made possible through the love of a woman, who is also a slave. It is her faith in God, and her love of Nesse that allows him to be reconciled to God, to find a way to forgive himself of his past perceived failures, and to accept God’s forgiveness. Once all of those qualifiers are in place, Nesse has his redemption.
